FGS Augsburg F213
FGS Augsburg F213, a Type 122 Bremen Class Frigate of the German Navy, is seen leaving Devonport Naval Base at Devil's Point on 16th July 2018 as she heads from base to sea at 0730. The backbone of the German fleet, FGS Augsburg is one of eight F122 Bremen-class frigates, that were commissioned between 1982 and 1990, with the design based on the proven Dutch Kortenaer class, but one which uses a different propulsion system and hangar lay-out. The ships were built for anti-submarine warfare as a primary task and are also suited for anti-aircraft warfare and anti-surface warfare. FGS Augsburg was built by Bremer Vulkan in Bremen and was commissioned into the German fleet on 3rd October 1989. Powered by two MTU 20V956 TB92 diesel engines, the class is now being succeeded by the Type F125 Brandenburg-class frigate, and to date there are now just two Bremen class frigates surviving in service with the German Navy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IviRhRdXeH4

FGS Bonn A1413
FGS Bonn A1413, a Type 702 Berlin Class replenishment tanker of the German Navy, is seen leaving Devonport Naval Base at Plymouth Hoe on 9th September 2018. Originally designed for use with the German Navy, the Type 702 is now also shared by the Royal Canadian Navy (the Protecteur class), and with a displacement of 20,240 tonnes are designed to carry fuel, provisions, ammunition and other materials, along with medical services. Three vessels (out of a projected class of five) are in use with the German navy and are powered by two MAN Diesel 12V 32/40 diesel-engines, which generate 5,340 kW each which give her a top speed of 20 knots, each ship has a range of almost 10,000 miles and can remain at sea for up to 45 days at a time. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bKPu2mLGEX4
FGS Hamburg F220
FGS Hamburg F220, a Type 124 'Sachsen' class frigate of the German Federal Navy enters Devonport Naval Base at Rusty Anchor, Plymouth Hoe on 22nd March 2019. FGS Hamburg was launched on 16th August 2002, and was commissioned into the German fleet on 13th December 2004. FGS Hessen F221 is a 5,800 ton Type 124 'Sachsen' Class Guided Missile Frigate of the German Navy, and we see her as she enters Devonport Naval Base (Plymouth) on 20th October 2017. Built Nordseewerke GmbH at Emden in Germany, she was laid down in September 2001 and launched on 26th July 2003. Based at Wilhelmshaven Naval Base, she is 143 metres long, and is powered by General Electric LM2500 gas turbines (which generate 31950hp) and twin MTU 20V1163 TB93 diesel engines (2 x 10060 hp), which give her a top speed of 29 knots (54kph). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UHre-yi-Nfw
FGS Lübeck F214
In choppy conditions FGS Lübeck F214, a F122 Bremen Class Frigate of the German Navy is seen in Plymouth Sound on 5th May 2017. FGS Lübeck is one of eight F122 Bremen Class Frigates that were commissioned between 1982 and 1990, with the class being succeeded by the F125 Frigate, today just three F122s continue to see service with the German Navy. FGS Lübeck was built by Nordseewerke at Emden and launched on October 15th 1987, being commissioned in 1990 and is based at Wilhelmshaven in Lower Saxony, Germany.
FGS Lübeck F214 is a F122 Bremen Class Frigate of the German Navy, and in choppy and windy conditions, we see FGS Lübeck as she enters Devonport Naval Base and passes Plymouth Hoe at Rusty Anchor. FGS.Lübeck is the eighth and final member of the F122 Bremen Class, which has now been superseeded by the F125 class, and today just three remain in service with the German navy. Laid down in 1987 at Nordseewerke, Emden, she was commissioned on 19th March 1990 and has a displacement of 3620 tons. At 428 feet long with a beam of 47'11", she is today based at Wilhelmshaven in Lower Saxony, Germany.

FGS Oldenburg F263
FGS Oldenburg F263, a Braunschweig K130 Class Corvette of the German Navy leaves Devonport Naval Base at Devil's Point on 16th July 2018. These corvettes are Germany's newest class of ocean going corvette, and replaced the early Gepard class of fast attack boat. Introduced in 2004, FGS Oldenburg was built by Blohm & Voss and launched in June 2007, later being commissioned on 21st January 2013. With a compliment of 65 crew, the K130 Class has a displacement of 1810 tons and is powered by two MTU 20V 1163 TB 93 diesel engines and have a maximum speed of 26 knots (30mph). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kioa1upXpLE
