HMS Smiter P272
One of the smallest types of ship in the Royal Navy are the Coastal Training Craft P2000 Class, which comprise 14 vessels, have a displacement of 54 tonnes and are some 20 metres long with a top speed of 20 knots, with their primary role is to support the University Royal Naval Units and have a complement of 5 with enough accomadation for up to 12 undergraduates. HMS Smiter P272 is assigned to Oxford University RNU, and we see HMS Smiter off the South Coast at Bournemouth, during the Bournemouth Air Show on 30th August 2014.
