HMS Albion L14
Having recently been released from a two and a half year regeneration refit at Devonport, HMS Albion L14 is seen as she leaves Devonport Naval Base at Mutton Cove on 3rd July 2017 and heads from base to sea. One of two 'Albion' Class Landing Platform Dock Ships in the Royal Navy, she has a displacement of 18,500 tons (21,500 tons flooded), and together with her sister ship HMS Bulwark, these impressive ships are almost 600 feet long and have a complement of 325 and can accomadate over 300 troops with an overload capacity for a further 400. As with their predecessors HMS Intrepid and HMS Fearless, one ship is kept in extended readiness while the other is in service.
