HMS Gay Archer P1041
Now restored to her former glory, HMS Gay Archer P1041 is seen preserved at Watchet Harbour in Somerset on 28th December 2011. The first of twelve Gay Class fast patrol boats, she was built by Vosper at Portchester and launched on 20th August 1952. Powered by three Packard 4M-2500 marine engines, she could reach a top speed of 43 knots or 49 mph, and was decommissioned in 1963 from the Royal Navy, and has been gradually restored by Paul Childs who purchased her for the princely price of £1 in 2005. Does anyone know where she is now and what her current condition is? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iHY35bKs0dA
